Rye Hunt’s legacy supports Tasmanian missing persons

Ms O’Keefe said The Unmissables aimed to break down the stereotype that missing persons were mixed up in crime, which represented only 2 per cent of cases.

“That is the assumption that members of the public instantly make,” she said.

“The more we can come up with creative ways to actually show the people behind that poster or 20-second news grab, the more there will be greater empathy.”
