06 Oct Money from ‘Find Rye Hunt’ campaign to help search for another missing Tasmanian

Funds donated by the family of Rye Hunt will help the search for another Tasmanian man, the Missing Persons Advocacy Network says.

Mr Hunt sparked an international search campaign when he went missing in Rio de Janeiro in May.

A Facebook page, Find Rye Hunt, attracted thousands of likes, and a GoFundMe page raised $46,826.42.

Weeks later the body of the 25-year-old Hobart backpacker washed up on a beach near Rio.
